Outlet and Switch Installation and repair

Electrical outlets and switches are connected, the switches enable power to flow out of outlets and into the appliances plugged into them. There are a few types of outlets, all of them designed to keep you safe. The two most common types of outlets are ground fault circuit interpreter(GFCI) and regular outlets. Whether you’re doing a whole house remodeling project or just looking to replace a few outlets, airprompts master electricians can help.

GFCI Outlets are typically installed in areas that have a lot of moisture like bathrooms, garages, kitchens ect. The purpose is to keep families safe from electrocution, the automatic sensors in a GFCI Outlet shut off the power right when it senses a hazardous short circuit.

When should I replace outlets or switches in my house?

With age, electrical outlets can get worn out and dangerous to use. When this happens, it’s time to replace them to prevent anything from happening to you or your home. You’ll know if you have a faulty outlet if you see cracks, burn marks, or the outlet is hot to the touch. Faulty switches usually cause flickering lights or won’t work at all, if your light is flickering and you turn the switch on and off and it goes away the problem is more than likely the switch itself.

Airprompts professional master electricians can provide excellent recommendations on outlets or switches for your repair or project.
